Hey everyone!
I’ve been on a real reading kick lately. I must be trying to get as much in as I can before college is back in session! Ha!
Anyway, I wanted to quickly recommend both of the books I just finished. The first one I read is They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera. I’ll admit, it did take me a few chapters to feel like I was invested with the two main characters, Mateo and Rufus, who both receive calls from ‘Death Cast’ letting them know it’s their final day to live. Once I felt like I knew them, though, I found it impossible to put the book down. I don’t want to give away whether or not the title rings true, but wow, what a beautiful reminder that life is for living, taking risks, and opening your heart to love.

The other book I recently enjoyed is The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie. I read this for the banned book club I’m a part of, and I thought this novel was brilliant and engaging. There’s a lot of commentary on very serious parts of life that are well blended with humor and some art the author made to accompany it. It’s witty and whimsical, while also having moments that unexpectedly steal the breath from your lungs and make your heart ache. I highly recommend this one. It’s definitely worth the read.

That’s it for now! Be well my friends!
